Who We Are

Crystal Decision Systems was founded in 1988 by Melanie L. Lenard. What We Do

Crystal Decision Systems specializes in designing and implementing information systems that support managerial decision-making. We assess our clients needs and provide them with custom-built applications for PC environments using databases, spreadsheets, and other software. We have worked on a wide variety of applications, including: inventory control for a video store, analytical models for market research, and simulation models for operational planning by the U.S. Coast Guard.

How We Work

Crystal Decision Systems believes in staged development of information systems. In a typical project, we will create several re-usable working versions of increasing complexity over a period of 6 - 24 months, depending on the magnitude of the project. Thus, each project cycles several times through the various phases (requirements, design, build, test, install) of software development. By proceeding in this way, we give our clients ample opportunity to evaluate the system and influence subsequent development. Over time, we build a close working relationship with our clients and help them realize the full business value of custom-built software.
